Most people, if fired, would be immediately out looking for their next job. Vamsikrishna Naganathanahalli is accused of poisoning his former company’s data after he was fired.
The government claims that after the company Vituity notified Naganathanahalli he would no longer be employed a month later, Naganathanahalli changed an employee’s password so that he could connect after he was no longer employed.
The government claims he then changed a second employee’s password. After which, he is accused of uploading data which overwrote the data of thousands of current and former employees.
Naganathanahalli was arrested on May 25, 2023. The court documents can be accessed in the sources section below.

I. T. U. I. T. Y. Notified Vamsikrishna that he would be no longer employed the next month. He changed an employee’s password so that way later on he could connect when he didn’t have access to his account. Now the government also claims that Vamsikrishna connected through that employee’s account and then changed the password to a second employees account and then after that connected using the second employee’s account and uploaded data that overwrote the data of thousands of current and former employees of the company.
